“Here I Am to Worship,” played on keyboard after just six months of lessons. Blues pattern. Original compositions. The students of Rhonda and Eric Barfield (ListeningHouse Piano Studios) read notes but also play by ear. Rhonda has several years experience, including teaching at Truman State U. Piano Preparatory Program and Beverly Milder’s Musical Arts, and Eric plays professionally as a solo pianist, leads his own band, and composes music for film. Listening House Studios now has the capability to teach via the internet: with the purchase of an inexpensive camera, our students can interact with us face-to-face through video lessons– no more rushing around in traffic, wasting gas and valuable time. We’re located just north of Lindenwood U. in St. Charles. For more information, call Rhonda or Eric at 636-219-9855 or email Eric@watchingjudas.com

Opportunities for group music learning and performance on banjo for learners from age 9 – 17. STL Bandjos is a youth banjo band based on models operating successfully in four other urban areas. Goal is to use individual interviews and a few weeks of pre-band instruction to move learners quickly into the band rehearsal and public performance experience. Rehearsals occur on Thursday late afternoons at Grantwood Village City Hall on Gravois just east of Grants Farm.
