Circles of Support
Monday, September 24, 2012
7:00-9:00 PM at the Pillar, 15820 Clayton Rd., Ellisville, Mo. 63011
“All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had.” –Acts 4:32
What a privilege it is to be able to educate our children at home. But sometimes, when you’re in the middle of a math lesson with a child who just doesn’t get it, or when you’re digging in your kitchen cabinets hoping there’s enough vinegar or food coloring for the science experiment you forgot about—it’s at those times that it’s easy to become discouraged.
On Monday, Sept. 24 from 7:00 to 9:00, WCCHE will host Circles of Support  at the Pillar on Clayton Rd. Circles of Support is just what it sounds like—a  forum  for homeschooling parents to support one another by sharing ideas, experiences, and wisdom. Facilitators will lead discussion groups on a variety of topics including homeschooling as a single parent, homeschooling multiple ages, organizing your homeschool, and more. Please come and add to the discussion or just glean some wisdom from others. Everyone has something to share. You will have the opportunity to attend two of the following discussion circles:
>Help! I Have a High Schooler: Navigating Credits, Grades, and Social Life
>Homeschooling as a Single Parent
>Get Real! My Kids aren’t Perfect, and Neither am I
>The One-Room Schoolhouse: Teaching Multiple Grades
>Help for Homeschooling a Child with Special Needs
>Newcomers: We’ve Decided to Homeschool…Now What?
>Has Anyone Seen My Math Book? How to Stay Sane and Organized
Child care will be provided by teens who will supervise a game time for children 5 years and older only. Children younger than 5 must be with parents at all times. Please register at www.wcche.org
