The facility will be the gym of:
Trinity Lutheran School, 4689 North Highway 94, Saint Charles, MO   63301
Directions:  From I-70 or I-270 take 370 to Hwy 94.  Go north (east) on Hwy 94 about 4 miles (about 5 minutes) to Trinity Lutheran School.  It will be on the left, shortly after a curve to the left and then back to the right again.  Look for a well-lit, red brick school building with flagpoles out front.
Rules for the building include basic courtesy and common sense.  We will have the gym, rest rooms, and entry foyer, (plus the kitchen on the last evening for our Ball).  Non-marking/court shoes are required.  (If we need to pay extra for cleaning or damages, the price goes up, of course.)  All children must be attended by a responsible person at all times.  If they don’t wish to participate, they will be able to play quietly on the floor in the entry or along the edges of the gym while we dance, but they must stay off the dance floor and they must have someone with them to keep them out of harm’s way or from getting into mischief.  We’d like to be welcomed back next year, too!
Registration opens October 1, 2012.
To confirm your reservation, please sign the liability waiver on the back, and return with a check for $60 (or as calculated at $4/dancer aged 5 and over/night) made payable to Steve or Carol Stearns:

Performers, Volunteers Needed for 2013 International Festival
The Maryland Heights Cultural Arts Commission is now accepting music and dance act submissions for the 12th annual International Festival to be held on Feb. 24, 2013. Previous events have included music and dance from Ireland, India, Brazil, Japan, Haiti, Spain and more. New performers and vendors are added every year, and no two festivals are the same.
All submissions must be submitted with a YouTube link including group name, group contact, group phone number and number of performers. The deadline for entry is Nov. 16. Applications should be emailed to Angela Ament or faxed to (314) 738-2547.
The commission also needs volunteers in several areas:
>The city has flags from more than 50 countries all over the world and is looking for people with ties to each country to carry the flags into the opening ceremonies.
>Volunteers are needed to serve on the lobby decoration committee.
>An assistant is needed in the demonstration area.
For more information about performing or volunteering at this popular event, email Alicia or call (314) 738-2599

If you know of an event, class, happening, or link you would like to see added, please contact me at zana8796 [at] yahoo [dot] com  Comments are not available, but sharing is.

The posted events are open to all homeschoolers in the St. Louis, MO, area (including St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles County, Franklin County, and Jefferson County in MO, and Madison County, Monroe County, and St. Clair County in IL, and surrounding regions). Those marked with an asterisk (*) do not take place within the target area for this list, but are open to all homeschoolers who live in the target area. NOTE: Inclusion in this list does not necessarily indicate endorsement by the blog owner. I try to include as many events or classes I know of in the Greater St. Louis area that would be of special interest to homeschoolers. Some of these events come from a distinctively “Christian” perspective, while others are purely “secular” in nature. If you see things that you would not be particularly interested in, just ignore them and look for the things that do appeal to you.
