The Tony Glavin soccer club is looking for host families for several college age soccer players –some from Scotland, England etc. The field is in Cottleville—so if anyone near there might be interested–it would be a great opportunity if your children are soccer fans and a chance to learn a bit about someone from another county. If interested–please contact them:

I am contacting local Home School organizations in hopes of spreading the word and seeking out loving and caring host families for a semester or an entire school year. We have some amazing students from several countries that will be arriving late July/Early August for the 2014-15 school year. We have male and female students with a broad range of interests from countries all over the world. Australia, Germany, Denmark, New Zealand, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Italy, Switzerland and many more! Opening your home creates a lifetime of memories for your family and your student.
If you or anyone you know might be interested in hosting please have them get in touch with me, my contact info is in my signature. All students come with their own health/travel insurance and any money they need for personal expenses, school, activities, clothing, personal hygiene, etc. We ask the families to provide a loving and nurturing environment, 3 meals a day and reasonable transportation.

If you know of an event, class, happening, or link you would like to see added, please contact me at zana8796 [at] yahoo [dot] com  and please let me know if you have any questions or find incorrect/out of date information. Comments are not available, but sharing is.
The posted events are open to all homeschoolers in the St. Louis, MO, area (including St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles County, Lincoln County, Franklin County, and Jefferson County in MO, and Madison County, Monroe County, and St. Clair County in IL, and surrounding regions).
NOTE: Inclusion in this list does not necessarily indicate endorsement by the blog owner. I try to include as many events or classes I know of in the Greater St. Louis area that would be of special interest to homeschoolers. Some of these events come from a distinctively “Christian” perspective, while others are purely “secular” in nature. If you see things that you would not be particularly interested in, just ignore them and look for the things that do appeal to you.
