Jefferson Sale
October 9, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
The Family Vision Library, 2020 Parkway Dr., St. Peters, MO 63376
www.thefamilyvision.org
Why the Jefferson Sale? Because prices are so low at this book sale, a two-dollar bill—the portrait of our third president—is sure to get you something good.
We have to clear out a lot of books. They’re good books, but we just don’t have the space. Maybe you can help find a new home for some of them. Maybe the low prices will help you out. Be sure to stop by during our Jefferson Sale.

The 2nd place winner receives a $25,000 scholarship and $500 cash. The third place winner receives a $10,000 scholarship and $500 cash. The 4th -10th place winners receive $500 cash each.
Once I receive feedback that there is enough interest, I will set up a couple of practice dates for everyone to sign up to attend.

Spanish Tutor for Kids
(Central West End)
Are you looking for a fun and effective way for your child to learn another language?
My name is Ana Ruiz Manzano and I am a native Spanish speaker from Spain and I offer IMMERSIVE Spanish classes for children. In my classes we play in Spanish, sing in Spanish, dance in Spanish, cook in Spanish, paint in Spanish, and do lots of other things… in Spanish.
We learn our mother tongue in an immersive environment and we should try to mimic that process for our second language. Children learning a language internalize it more when there is a native speaker talking to them, instead of “translations” or “list of words” in the class. My classes are specifically designed to introduce vocabulary and grammar to small groups of young children via an immersive environment. I use age-appropriate activities and games to engage my students and start them on the path to Spanish fluency. I teach children between the ages of 3 and 8 years old.
Check my website if you want more information and contact me with any questions.

The posted events are open to all homeschoolers in the St. Louis, MO, area (including St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles County, Lincoln County, Franklin County, and Jefferson County in MO, and Madison County, Monroe County, and St. Clair County in IL, and surrounding regions).
NOTE: Inclusion in this list does not necessarily indicate endorsement by the blog owner. I try to include as many events or classes I know of in the Greater St. Louis area that would be of special interest to homeschoolers. Some of these events come from a distinctively “Christian” perspective, while others are purely “secular” in nature. If you see things that you would not be particularly interested in, just ignore them and look for the things that do appeal to you.
