Come join the St Louis Patriettes High School Girl’s Soccer Team! The only soccer team in the city strictly for homeschool girls!
The team is for 9-12th graders, ages 14-18. You must be currently homeschooling, no exceptions. We begin practice on March 22 and run through the first or second weekend in May. At this time there are no try-outs, but we are limited to 20 players so please keep that in mind if we have to change that policy.
Practices will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 pm until 6:30 pm, and on Saturdays from 9 am-11 am. We meet at the field behind the Green Trails Elementary School in Chesterfield, 170 Portico Dr, Chesterfield, MO 63017 (on Ladue off of Olive). There are 9 games scheduled so far, but we always hope for more. We play various Christian schools in the area, usually on their fields, so our games are during the week, starting around 4:30pm.
Our cost is usually low, under $100 per player. The exact breakdown will be provided closer to the season.
We have a great team that supports and encourages one another, exhibiting good and Godly sportsmanlike conduct both on and off the field. We hope you will join us and look forward to an awesome season!

We Rock the Spectrum Kids’ Gym is a healthy play area for ALL kids, but with equipment and staffing/volunteers with understanding of sensory disorder needs (about half of our visitors are on the spectrum, but the rest are siblings, friends, and just kids who think it’s fun here). Our equipment is often found at Occupational Therapy centers where cost may be an issue.
During Open Play, kids bring their parents while they play on our safety trampoline, our 40-foot zip line, our assortment of climbing structures, an impressive range of swinging/motion equipment, tunnels, and an arts and crafts area. With a parent, children one and up can come Rock with us.
We have several group rates that may be of interest to the homeschool community: a group playdate can be reserved for some regular date if wanted. We also offer Breaktime (the child stays for a short time without the parent), handle birthday parties and will offer camps during March Spring Break and summer. We note that we are not a licensed daycare center.
Our open play is $12, roughly comparable to a swimming pool fee. Our general fee structure can be found on our web site.
When our son received his diagnosis at age 5, an incredible journey began for us. He is an incredible, gifted, and charming young man. For him, social skills and frustration are the issues we work on with our counselors and doctors. So while he is high functioning, he also knows he is the kid on the playground that doesn’t always have someone to play with.
At We Rock the Spectrum, kids get to actually play with their parents, in a socialization-friendly play area. They can meet new friends, or bring friends/siblings from home, or just enjoy some self-directed time. And we hope parents, who may ALSO feel a little cut-off with this diagnosis will have an opportunity to network with other parents with whom they can compare notes.
We welcome any questions or comments and hope we can provide a service for the sensory community here in St. Louis including our home schooling families.

If you know of an event, class, happening, or link you would like to see added, please contact me at zana8796 [at] yahoo [dot] com  and please let me know if you have any questions or find incorrect/out of date information. Comments are not available, but sharing is.
The posted events are open to all homeschoolers in the St. Louis, MO, area (including St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles County, Lincoln County, Franklin County, and Jefferson County in MO, and Madison County, Monroe County, and St. Clair County in IL, and surrounding regions).
NOTE: Inclusion in this list does not necessarily indicate endorsement by the blog owner. I try to include as many events or classes I know of in the Greater St. Louis area that would be of special interest to homeschoolers. Some of these events come from a distinctively “Christian” perspective, while others are purely “secular” in nature. If you see things that you would not be particularly interested in, just ignore them and look for the things that do appeal to you.
