YOUTH SHOTGUN TEAM
I’m interested in organizing and coaching a homeschool youth shotgun team (Trap, Skeet and/or Sporting Clays) and am seeking those who might be interested in participating in, assisting with or supporting such a team. Details are to be determined, but I expect the qualifying ages to be 12-18; prior experience not required. If there is enough interest we will have an organizational meeting to discuss additional details. This first year will likely be a learning experience for all of us.
Shotgun shooting is currently the fastest growing high school sport in the country. Right now it’s most prevalent in Minnesota and spreading to the Dakotas, but this growth is expanding throughout the country. Shotgun sports are also popular at the collegiate level, with our own local Lindenwood University hosting a team that is consistently ranked as a top team in the country. It’s a great opportunity to get outside to learn and develop a new skill, have a great time with friends, practice hand-eye coordination, and (at a primal level) make some noise while breaking things (clay pigeon targets).
If interested, please e-mail me at monty@fullarmordefense.com. We will be seeking sponsors to try to minimize costs for the team members, so please also contact me if you might be willing to provide financial support, either personally or as a business sponsor.

Please visit  https://stlouishomeschoolevents.wordpress.com/ and check the Ongoing Offerings section for homeschool specific links to many area attractions. And don’t forget to check out the top tabs too! Please feel free to forward this email to other homeschoolers and encourage them to join the email loop; sign up is at the top of the right column. LIKE THE LIST ON FACEBOOK! FOLLOW ON TWITTER!
If you know of an event, class, happening, or link you would like to see added, please contact me at zana8796 [at] yahoo [dot] com  and please let me know if you have any questions or find incorrect/out of date information. Comments are not available, but sharing is.
The posted events are open to all homeschoolers in the St. Louis, MO, area (including St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles County, Lincoln County, Franklin County, and Jefferson County in MO, and Madison County, Monroe County, and St. Clair County in IL, and surrounding regions).
NOTE: Inclusion in this list does not necessarily indicate endorsement by the blog owner. I try to include as many events or classes I know of in the Greater St. Louis area that would be of special interest to homeschoolers. Some of these events come from a distinctively “Christian” perspective, while others are purely “secular” in nature. If you see things that you would not be particularly interested in, just ignore them and look for the things that do appeal to you.
