Saint Louis Area Homeschool Shooting Sports
SLAHSS has been established as a non-profit (501(c)(3)) organization to support shooting teams for youth within the homeschool community across the Saint Louis Area.
The Saint Louis Interceptors homeschool youth shotgun team, the first team organized as part of SLAHSS, is preparing for the 2016-2017 competition season and needs support to help cover our financial needs.  If you would help to support youth shooting sports, there are several different methods to provide your assistance.  As listed on, some of these are:
It’s the goal of SLAHSS that no athlete should be prevented from participating by cost.  Your donation will help us to meet this goal by covering ammo costs, range fees, equipment and other costs for the teams.
We’d love to have the support of area businesses and, in exchange, proudly display the business’ name or logo as a supporter of our team(s).
An endowment account has been established by the Midway USA Foundation on behalf of SLAHSS.  Building this account will provide a fund to support the future activities of SLAHSS teams.  Your one-time or recurring donation will be matched 1:1 by the foundation.  At the link, above, search for “Saint Louis Area Homeschool Shooting Sports” in Missouri.
Our current fund-raiser is a raffle for a SKB Model 200HR 28 gauge double-barrel (side-by-side) shotgun valued at $2,625.  More information about the shotgun can be found at  Tickets $10 for 1 or $25 for 3.!/SKB-Shotgun-Raffle/c/19142004/offset=0&sort=normal
In order to grow our programs and/or add additional teams we need volunteer coaches and people willing to help coordinate programs of the organization.  If you would be willing to get involved, please submit your information via the CONTACT page.
If you have any additional questions about Saint Louis Area Homeschool Sports or the Saint Louis Interceptors shotgun team, you can contact Monty Schrunk, SLAHSS President and Interceptors Head Coach, at 314-800-7520 or

The posted events are open to all homeschoolers in the St. Louis, MO, area (including St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles County, Lincoln County, Franklin County, and Jefferson County in MO, and Madison County, Monroe County, and St. Clair County in IL, and surrounding regions).
NOTE: Inclusion in this list does not necessarily indicate endorsement by the blog owner. I try to include as many events or classes I know of in the Greater St. Louis area that would be of special interest to homeschoolers. Some of these events come from a distinctively “Christian” perspective, while others are purely “secular” in nature. If you see things that you would not be particularly interested in, just ignore them and look for the things that do appeal to you.
