The Community Music School has offered outstanding music education and performance opportunities to students of all ages and abilities in the St. Louis area and beyond since its founding in 1925.  Opportunities include individual lessons, Suzuki Strings program, group instruction, Young Years programs, Orchestras, Ensembles, Summer Camps, and Composition.  Three convenient locations – Webster Groves on Webster University’s campus, Faust Park in Chesterfield and Trinity Presbyterian Church in University City.

The children’s choir is designed for children grades 4 through 8.  Additional  group music theory classes are offered for ages 9 through adult, and we have a KIDZ MUZIK class for children ages 4 through 8.

Daughters of Grace Dance Company is a non-profit dance and arts ministry located in Wentzville, MO offering classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Choir, Show Choir, Music Theory, Drama, and Fitness classes to homeschoolers. The mission at Daughters of Grace Dance Company is to lead young women onto a path of positive self-image based upon biblical principles and the way that God views us and the use of our bodies to glorify Him. Instructors are dedicated to not only the child’s growth as an artist, but also their spiritual growth as well. Classes are for homeschool children ages 3-17.

High School Home School Choir

The choir will focus on music literacy, practicing good vocal production, singing in 3 and 4 part harmony, sight-singing and performance etiquette. Although most of the class will be participation in the choral ensemble, it will also include written assignments and both singing and written tests. No audition is necessary for participation in this class but a vocal evaluation will be done to determine the ability level of the students and individual placement within the group. Literature will include a variety of musical styles and time periods. The choir will have the opportunity to perform several times each semester.   The class will meet on Wednesday once a week from 2:00-3:30 starting in early September, at Canaan Baptist Church Choir room (Oakville area).  Students ages: 14 yrs (by 9/1) through 18 — grades 9-12 are welcome to participate.  There is a sibling discount as well.

The Bach Society Chorus is an annually auditioned group of 60 experienced singers committed to artistic excellence in the performance of major choral and choral-orchestral.
Free concert tickets given to high school and college choral singers through our “Giving Bach to St. Louis” program. Hosts a number of local community performances.  They also produce a listing of choral performances in the metropolitan area, as well as maintain a master listing of both professional and volunteer choral groups.
