http://www.pbslearningmedia.org – PBS has content with over 14,000 resources for educators with lots of multimedia you can use at home with your students. It is called PBS Learning Media. You can search content in many ways, is very user friendly. Best of all, it is free!

http://www1.k9webprotection.com/ – Blue Coat’s K9 Web Protection is a good free parental control program. It is based on software that many businesses use. It comes with a list of objectionable sites. But you can customize the list. You’ll also get regular updates.  Best part—it’s free!

http://www.nps.gov/history/history/hisnps – National Park Service Library – Almost 4,000 books, reports and articles developed by the National Park Service. Photographs, maps, and original art complement the texts.

http://www.starfall.com – Starfall – A good learning-to-read website. It has great activities for learning the alphabet on up through beginning readers.
